Become a “Friend of Barren River Lake & Park” and share your talents in enhancing the Barren River Lake Experience. You will have great opportunities to meet new people, enjoy the outdoors, and do something meaningful with a proud sense of accomplishment. Your support will provide interesting recreational activities as well as education events promoting environmental conservation and water safety. You will have a voice in communicating public issues and community needs involving public land. Check out our volunteer opportunities.
The Friends of Barren River Lake and Park meet every Second Thursday of the month at 6:00 pm in the Barren River Lake State Resort Park Lodge.
Join a Committee
Events: Assist in the planning and implementation of special events such as Poker Runs and 4th of July Fireworks. You can help us get organized!
Public Relations: Get the Friends message out to the public! Advertising our public events is the key to community participation. Help us spread the word.
Fundraising: The buck stops and starts with generous donations from the community. As a non-profit organization, fundraising is essential. Come help us grow the bottom line!
Membership: The heart of our organization is caring, concerned citizens. We cannot accomplish any of our work without these dedicated members. You can help us recruit through membership drives and incentive programs.
Annual Membership Dues
Your membership dues help the Friends group fund things such as the 4th of July Fireworks, Trashmasters Classic and other conservation programs around Barren River Lake & Park. Also, an active paid membership gives you a voting right at our meetings for the advancement of our organization.
If you have paid this years dues then, Thank You! If you have not then our year starts on July 1st and the costs of dues is $25 per person and $50 for a family membership, due on July 1st of each year.
